Abstract

The primary goal of Multi-objective optimization is to optimize simultaneously conflicting objectives (such as time and the cost in construction projects) in order to find acceptable Pareto optimal solutions for the decision maker. This paper presents a procedure for solving continuous linear Time-Cost Trade-off problems based on the Bounded Objective Function Method in combination with the concept of linear membership function in the fuzzy programming. The applicability of the proposed procedure was demonstrated by an application example. A set of the best optimum Time-Cost Trade-off solutions for the problem was obtained.
