Abstract

A unified theory and its medical applications in photothermal and photochemical systems are presented. The double-optimal conditions for the largest flat-profile depth, characterized by small absorption and long focal length, provide useful clinical guidance for efficient photo-initiated therapy, particularly for large volume medium.
